Thermo-regulated injection systems (Cold Runner Block – CRB) are by now largely used to mold a wide variety of products.
Its main function is to maintain the compound temperature at a controlled level before injecting it near or inside the mold cavity. This offers outstanding benefits such as reduction of raw material waste by reducing the runners, cut-down of cycle times, no more compound burns, etc.
STANDARD THERMO-REGULATED BLOCKS
STANDARD THERMO-REGULATED BLOCKS are:
- Sturdy machined steel blocks including runners to distribute the raw material and cooling fluid circuits;
- Free-flow nozzles or stopper nozzles. Stoppers can be activated hydraulically or pneumatically.
- The removable plate enables to replace the compound and the user can verify the cleaning status visually, thus reducing risk of pollution by other compounds.
- Specific thermo-regulation circuits developed inside the nozzles cover most of the surface of the rubber distribution circuits, created with soft bends to reduce the stress on the compound.
C3 = CROSSY COLD CORE
Rubber molding companies value the strategic role played by thermo-regulated CRB to enhance production cycles while reducing waste materials. Its compact modular structure is what makes our C3 so special. C3 is designed as a cross-shaped removable element that can be easily replaced to change the compound in 1/12 the time required by standard CRB. And all this while maintaining the quality of the molded product and reducing waste.
